Inspirational Photos

The photo I chose was one I took a little bit ago at a lake in Eugene. It was at Fern Ridge Lake. I love going to the lake on beautiful days like this with the sunset so bright. The lake is a passion of mine. I've grown up on the lake and just love going and sitting by the docks or out of the boat. When taking this image I really wanted to not only capture the beauty of the sunset but also the lake. I think the most beautiful time at the lake is sunset or sunrise. The smoothness of the water it looks like glass with the colors of the sunset reflected on it. It seems almost not real because of the bright colors.
The inspirational image I chose was one taken by Michael Magin. It's really an awesome shot. I love the way he took the image it feel like a dream looking at it. He took the shot using a Canon 5D with a 50mm lens. I admire a lot of his work because each picture is so powerful and captivating. The color of the trees draw you with the foggy background its like a mystical dream. I would love to shoot some pictures like this. To make it look like you are in a dream and the image you just captured doesn't seem like reality. The blue fog and the pink color of the trees is a beautiful contrast. I want to take pictures and look for the color contrasts while taking pictures. Not only do I want to take those pictures but also I want to learn how to edit them like him in software and make them look even better.
